Fully registered nursery school in Livingston

Located in the heart of Livingston Village, First Class Nursery offers a safe and secure learning environment for all age groups up to 5 years old.
Our nursery is set within an old stone building which was completely renovated by the current owners in 2006. It is the perfect location for a children's nursery allowing us to create different room areas for different age groups. And with a walled garden approximately 0.2 acres, there's plenty of space for children to play.

We use the pre birth 2-3 publication and curriculum for excellence and all planning and evaluations.

Our Vision

To provide a fun, nurturing and stimulating environment which enables children to develop their capabilities as successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors, helping them prepare for the years ahead

Our Values

F – Fun To provide a happy, stimulating, and safe environment where children will grow and learn through playful, child-led and educational experiences.

C - Communication Effective communication is key to positive partnerships with parents. Effective communication involves active listening and clear, respectful speaking. When professionals and parents share knowledge and experience, it's good for children's well-being and development

N – Nurtured To provide a stable environment created by parents and other caregivers that ensures children's good health and nutrition, protects them from threats, and gives young children opportunities for early learning, through interactions that are emotionally supportive and responsive.

Partnerships With Parents

First Class Nursery’s Partnership with Parents.

You, as parents are the prime educators of your children in their earliest years. We therefore welcome and encourage parent’s involvement in the nursery. We have an ‘open door’ policy in place and member’s of staff are always available to listen to your comments and suggestions. Effective communication between parents and nursery staff is important to provide the best possible care for your children. We would appreciate if you could inform nursery staff of any circumstances, either temporary or permanent which may affect your child’s emotional or physical well being to ensure your child receives additional support if necessary. A member of staff will be available to speak to you on a daily basis to discuss your child’s progress and answer any questions you may have.
You will be kept informed of nursery events and activities through our notice board in the entrance hall, newsletters and via our private Facebook group. In your child’s room you will also find notice boards giving information on the day’s activities.
